I stopped in on relatively short notice tonight to grab some books. I didn’t find what I was looking for, but would rather give my money to a small business than give it straight to a large company just to get something specific. The atmosphere here is very friendly, it seems to be a local hangout for hobbyists with all sorts of comics, cards, and even tables and arcades set up inside. One other visitor was kind enough to let a member of staff know that I was ready to be checked out. When the staff member rang me out, they gave me a 10% discount even though I was unaware of the ongoing sale. There is a bit of a cigarette smell as other reviewers have pointed out, but I assume it’s just stubbornly stuck to the walls or carpet from years past. My books as well as their other merchandise were clean and in good, new condition.
We're here weekly. They now have an arcade attached and it's super clean and cool in temperature and vibe. They have tables set up for people to play different games and it's just a great place. Wish I knew how to play the games they play in the back area everyone seems to be having an awesome time!! Totally recommend. Also every comic book, trading card, and hobby you can think of.
I didn't go in the card shop but I played at the Markade and all the machines are clean and they have a nice selection of enjoyable games. Not as many arcade games as I might have liked but two really nice pinball machines. I will say this about the card shop. They had someone that didn't even play Magic sorting the cards so that must mean they've got a lot of Magic!
