Cory’s Cards and Games is easily the best local shop around not just for the huge selection of cards and games, but for the kind of person Cory is. When I first got into Magic: The Gathering back in covid, Cory was the one who helped guide me on my journey. He took the time to explain things, helped me build my first deck, and never once made me feel out of place or overwhelmed. He’s always there to listen, whether you're a seasoned player or brand new. That kind of patience and personal care is something you don’t find at most stores. What really makes this place stand out is that Cory runs his business with integrity! Everything is priced fairly and reasonably, even the high-demand stuff. He’ll order specific cards you’re looking for, just to help you finish a deck or collection. He’s always willing to help with deck building, brainstorming Commanders, or giving honest advice. And more than anything, he treats customers like people not transactions. That’s something I value the most. Cory even goes beyond just running a business. He shares moments of his life with the community. Whether it's personal stories, life milestones, or just chatting with regulars, he’s real, down-to-earth, and always approachable. That connection makes visiting the shop feel like hanging out with a friend, not just shopping. Events are well-run, the players are welcoming, and the space has a vibe of fun, fairness, and respect because that’s what Cory built over the years.
