I rarely leave reviews, but I couldn't help myself on this occasion. I've been shopping at GameXChange Texarkana for years, and ever since their new staff has arrived ive had nothing but horrible experiences in that store. The young lady has been rude to me several times for no reason what so ever, not mention the whole atmosphere is off. Their video game and just store merchandise knowledge is terrible. I won't get into details but my visit today had me fuming. Pulling into the parking lot today had me shaking me head. And sure enough they delivered once again with a total unprofessional and ridiculous experience...
The store itself is great, organized and laid out well. MOST of the staff is great, knowledgeable and super friendly as well as professional. Sam on the other hand is just super unpleasant anytime we have came in.. she always expresses the dissatisfaction with having to look over and price the items people are selling, when she chose to work at a buy sell trade shop. Hearing the attitude about having to help is reason enough to stop coming. I’d like to enjoy browsing items to potentially spend money here on, without feeling criticized for wanting to sell my items here.
(Magic: The Gathering – Counterfeit Concern) Everything about my visit was great — friendly staff and a decent selection. However, I noticed two fake Magic: The Gathering cards in the display case. I brought this to the staff’s attention, but after a quick look, they insisted the cards were real and put them back into the case. With over 20 years of experience in the gaming industry, I’ve handled thousands of MTG cards. These were unquestionably counterfeit. I’m not trying to cause trouble — just hoping to prevent a less experienced player from being misled. For now, I’m leaving a 1-star review until this gets addressed by someone who understands the seriousness of counterfeit trading cards. I’ll gladly update it if taken out of the cases.
