Update : Owner taking responsibility and personal interests +1 star. Hope this review wasn't overly critical. I know for a business a single bad interaction can have a cascading effect one doesn't even realize. Thank you for reaching out. I will be coming around still when I'm in the area. First two trips to the store I was met by passionate gamers and very enthusiastically talked about Magic the Gathering market, the artwork and overall gaming experience and that was great. The 3rd time I was met with a very disinterested individual who seemed more drained and like he didn't want to be there. He was also slightly rude when trying to engage with him about Magic. Had that been my first experience with the place I probably would not come back. I'll give this place a 4 star as it is a wonderful shop, beautiful displays and great selection. I feel as though maybe a little bit of guidance and help with only that individual would push it to a perfect score. Nothing against the individual I just feel he either had a bad day or genuinely is drained by the line of work. I wish nothing but success for this business and that individual staff.
TLDR: Best card store I’ve been to in 12 years of playing magic. Great game and card store! Very welcoming and peaceful. Staff is always super nice and helpful. From what I read of the negative reviews of this place. People nitpick and don’t care to give this place a chance cause they jump to conclusions.
Gamers and Geeks is my son's favorite place! The staff has always been so nice and knowledgeable! But tonight they just further proved how great they are! My son had to go to the ER for a gnarly ankle fracture. He begged to go to Gamers and Geeks afterwards for some pokemon cards for being so tough during this whole ordeal. I got him 3 packs and as we went to check out, the awesome employee gave him a pack for free as a get well gift! We need more people in the world like him! Thank you Gamers and Geeks for being so awesome and making my son's night!
