Gamestoria
Gamestoria is a local friendly tabletop game shop dedicated to board games, card games and RPGs and providing a safe space for all.
I had an absolutely rotten experience at Gamestoria today and I will not be going there ever again. I arrived to try to sell some MTG cards and buy some new ones. There was no AC (I would never knock a store for not having AC--I get it, things break) so I walked in to the (empty) store and said jokingly, "Wow I'm sorry but it's so warm in here." This was clearly the wrong thing to say. The guy behind the counter looked furious with me. His tone was immediately hostile. He didn't greet me or ask how he could help me. Instead he said "What do you want?" I get that it's hot but it was a bit rude. I shrugged it off. I said I wanted to sell some cards. Immediately the rude, dismissive tone from the employee: "I don't buy cards. That person isn't in today." I asked when they would be in and got a "Tomorrow." I said ok I would just like to buy some cards then and that got another: "What do you want?" I pull out my purchase list and read one example off and again the awful rude tone: "No you're not reading me a list of cards. You're writing down what you want." as he pulled out a stack of paper. At that point I had enough. I told him he was being rude, he blurted out a half-hearted apology, and I walked out. I totally get that it's hot out and it sucks to have to work in this heat. I also know working a customer-facing role often sucks too. I really try to be patient with everyone I interact with--I was never rude to this man, I never raised my voice, and I never said anything hostile. I just ask that people have the same courtesy with me. Gamestoria failed in that regard today. I have been visiting Gamestoria every few months since they first opened. I have a loyalty account with them and have spent enough there that I was able to redeem some rewards. I am done with their store.

I come here for Commander and I have a great time overall. They have a great selection of board games to purchase and cards. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. Not a fan of the resale value for cards but it is what it is. The shop hosts Dungeons and Dragons nights (if that's more of your alley) in addition to open play. There's also tons of around the area if you want to step out when you get hungry and or you can purchase that snacks/drinks they have at the store itself.
A really great place to come and buy some old board games. Not just board but any card or fantasy game you could possibly think of all for great prices. They also host daily game weeks and nights like dungeons & dragons which you could find on their website or their ad posts on eventbrite. They also have a discord chat with associated events and pop ups through the discussion chat. The people are genuinely welcoming and are very supportive to amateur enthusiasts and beginners. Seriously I advise you to come just once to know what I am talking about.
