They purchase up entire restocks of product from local stores when they restock. Even coming all the way to Detroit Lakes to purchase every single Prismatic Evolution they had on release day. Maybe don’t tell the employees that you’re buying them for your specific card store that you own in Fargo, lol. Their way to “combat” resellers is charging what resellers do.. there are many ways that they could offer products at retail to collectors that other stores have been successful doing, but they’d rather not. I used to frequent this store in 2017-2018, prices were reasonable and I even purchased membership cards for three years in a row. Now, it’s just a way to scalp products while disguising itself as something “good for the community”. Last time I went there, I told myself I would never go back. The employees were young and didn’t even offer to help as we were standing at the counter. They were too busy looking at some random guys collection binder instead of helping customers. I haven’t been back since. Very disappointing as I spent a lot of money there at one point when they actually cared and had employees who helped the people who keep them in business. It’s truly a slap to the face to true collectors and their long-time customers.
This place is wonderful! The people here are always super friendly and knowledgeable. They’re honest, helpful, and prices are fair. I’ve bought tons of singles from them for great prices and it’s really helped me grow my collection. Seeing the cards in person or on stream is so much easier to be able to know the condition you’re getting rather than just buying from eBay. You can tell they really care about their customers and the community and that’s why I keep coming back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I preordered Riftbound through this store and was told my order was secure. Now that prices are skyrocketing, I’ve been pushed into a mysterious “Wave 2” that doesn’t arrive until months later. The timing is just too convenient — instead of honoring preorders fairly, they’re spinning a story about “distributor issues” while rationing product. Splitting preorders into “waves” is a retailer decision, not something distributors force. It feels like Wave 1 boxes are being sold elsewhere at higher profit while customers like me are left waiting. To make matters worse, in the middle of this mess they tried to upsell me on preordering the next set (Spiritforged) before they’ve even fulfilled the first one. It’s hard not to see this as profits over promises. I’ll never do business here again. If you care about transparency and reliability, look elsewhere. Update in response to owner 10/05/25 Thank you for the response. For transparency, your own Facebook page shows Riftbound preorders went live on April 16, 2025, while Riot’s official site lists August 4, 2025 as the public preorder date. That means orders were taken months earlier without clear terms or policies. When I placed my preorder on May 3, there was no mention of “waves” or fulfillment order. Those rules appeared only after delays began and prices spiked sharply, changing what customers effectively bought. Saying “we fulfilled orders in order” is not a real solution—it’s completely opaque and easy to manipulate without published timestamps or a public queue. Wave 1 product has historically been more valuable, and transparency matters when fulfillment priority affects actual market value.
