Definitely worth a visit. We got off a plane from Florida and then drove straight to Meeps to check it out. Really rad two story location that houses a wide variety of toys, posters, action figures, etc on the 1st floor and a vintage store on the 2nd (that also had some contemporary art prints, shirts and stickers that were screen printed by a local artist. I still regret not picking up the “Altered States” print. 😞). Everything was really well curated. The atmosphere was really cool. The owner had a TON of items tucked everywhere, one could easily spend a few hours taking it all in. I had the chance to speak with him briefly and he was a genuinely cool guy. I bought a mean looking action figure dude (very reasonably priced, the owner said he was from “Big Hero 6”) to put in a diorama I’m working on. Will definitely return when I’m back in Madison.
If you're a kid or kid at heart this is the perfect store for you! Meep's has a huge selection of vintage toys with some modern ones mixed in as well. The prices start at $1, and that's really hard to beat these days. I could honestly spend hours here just browsing their selection!
