When it comes to Most Excellent Comics and Gaming, I think it's fair to say that this is easily the best comics and collectibles shop in CT and possibly all of New England! I've been into comics my whole life, but I fell out of the hobby in my 20s. That's when I found Most Excellent Comics and Gaming, and bringing my business there was one of the best decisions I've made! The staff is wonderful and Mason is the best owner you could ask for; very personable and fair! They made getting back into collecting so easy and a very fun experience. They have such a great range of comics, collectibles and playing cards: from golden/silver age comics all the way to new releases, a wall full of amazing keys, funko pops ranging from common to autographed chases, action figures, Pokémon cards, Magic the Gathering cards, sports cards, statues, Warhammer products, omnibuses.....you name it and it's probably there! And the pricing is always fair and competitive! They also have tables in the back where people come together to play magic the gathering, pokemon, and do trades which is awesome! I drive from Hartford to Enfield regularly to pick up my pull list and I usually always leave with something extra. I highly suggest you stop by if you're even slightly into the hobby, especially on Free Comic Book Day!

The store is huge! The gentlemen that run the store are kind and knowledgeable. Pop figures, Pokémon, comics, you name the collection and the probably have it! Great place for gifts for the collectors in your life and they have gift cards if you have no idea what to buy them!!
I have only seen the building from the outside and great reviews towards accepting new players of Magic the Gathering! I started playing Commander 3 months ago and consider myself a new player of the game. Unfortunately, I made a massive mistake of bringing both my cards and business to Battle Standard which is a local pub found near by. I hope that the store manager at Most Excellent is fair and welcoming of my business and my family name! I wish to play primarily MTG, and hope everyone gets along well as I continue to learn this game with mono colored white/black decks. I do have a few questions that I will likely get answered in person so I plan to update my review upon my first visit! :) Updated: September 20th Went into the store and was immediately impressed with the selections and table room to play Magic the Gathering - Commander. The store manager gave me a warm welcome with a firm and trusting handshake 🤝. My main reason from switching stores was due to the fact that my previous place sold alcohol and I don’t drink nor really associate with the people around it actively consuming it; I really want to pull cards and play! I will gladly bring my business and play MTG at Most Excellent!
