i go here everytime i visit georgetown to get some pokemon packs, and last week i went there to buy some more to notice that they literally made the price go up. it's ridiculous how a 12.99 pack can go to almost 20 dollars bruh. nobody likes scalpers. they're reminding me of a blue haired dude who sits and does nothing all day in his store and makes a pack of cards nearly $15
Every time I’ve visited this store, it’s been a consistently negative experience. On 7/29, I walked in and was completely ignored by the employees. No greeting, no offer to help, nothing. I spent about four minutes browsing, and not once did anyone acknowledge me. Out of curiosity, I returned shortly after with a white customer, and the difference in treatment was undeniable. He was warmly greeted and immediately offered assistance. This isn’t an isolated incident. I’ve experienced the same cold, dismissive behavior during my last two visits, and it seems to happen specifically toward Black customers. The pattern is disturbing and gives off very clear discriminatory energy. I would not recommend shopping here if you value being treated with basic respect.
Love going to this place! It’s the closest Pokémon store to me and everyone is super nice every time me and my little brother visit. The prices are a little high but I think they are fair enough. I was able to get an etb after release day of destined rivals and pulled my chase card and a mewtwo! So i was very happy:)
