Moved to the area knowing no one a about two years ago. Since then, I have found an awesome community of friends through the Rabbit's Den, especially with Lauren. They are incredibly welcoming and helpful to new people no matter the walk of life!
I stopped in there for the very first time today. I was there looking to grab some magic cards to build a new themed deck, card sleeves, and some card cases. When I entered no one greeted me. There were a few people playing a game at a table. So I started to peruse. No one asked me if I needed assistance with anything. Pretty sure the staff was busy playing the game (since that was the only thing that the In shop were doing but, I could be wrong. Like I said, no one engaged with me so I don't know who was a patron and who worked there). The counters were full of clutter (not merchandise) that it made it somewhat difficult to see what was in the display cases. I also didn't know what was for sale and what was personal collections as there were boxes of cards on the counter but they looked like they belonged to someone as the cases were really nice looking. The inexpensive individual magic cards that (I think) were for sale weren't very well organized. No rhyme or reason to color or edition. After about 5 minutes of no assistance I gave up and just left (I mean let's be real. I'm not going to stand in the middle of a store and ask "Who works here?"). And of course without surprise no one said. "Thank you for stopping in." Honestly I might as well have been a ghost. I recommend taking the hike and going to Dragon's Den in Sioux Falls. I've also only been there one time but they seem to have a larger selection, better organized, and more customer focused.
My teenage son is a regular at the Rabbit’s Den. It is such a gift to have a fun, safe place for him to game, meet friends, and develop independence. Lauren is a joy to visit; you can sense her and Alan’s genuine care for their customers! I highly recommend the Rabbit’s Den!
