Ron’s hobbies are great. I go there for HO train stuff. If I order on Monday they typically have what I need by Friday the same week. Thank you Norm (owner), Betty, Niles and Mark for all your help. I bought the Woodland Scenics Grand Valley Layout. I recommend downloading the free instruction book first from Woodland Scenics website.

I don’t often leave reviews online, but the great experience I had at Ron’s Mundelein Hobbies on May 21st, 2022, deserves a review. I was in the Mundelein area that Saturday morning, running some errands, and took a minute online to look for the nearest hobby store. I found Ron’s at the top of the list, read some of the history, & decided to call to see if they were open. Norm answered the phone. He was so pleasant to talk to over the phone, even though I could tell he was busy with customers in the store. That really got my respect. We stopped by an hour later, and Norm helped me pick out a traxxas r/c car for my 8 year old His prices are competitive with Amazon, etc., but what made the experience so great for me, was Norm. He takes the time to answer all your questions, knows his craft very well, and it was really nice to physically see/handle the product in person, rather than seeing just a picture online. Norm took care of us from start to finish. He made the experience of buying a quality r/c car enjoyable because he cares. He made a customer for life that day. Thanks again Norm. Needless to say, my son loves the short course truck.
