Traveling for work I like to check out LGSs in different areas to see a wider selection of stock. This is an amazing shop with a wide selection of stuff across their spacious store. They have all sorts of stuff for comics, board games, Warhammer 40k, D&D, and so much more. They've got a lot of vintage MTG as well as a wide selection of rare singles for both MTG and Pokemon. Staff was super friendly, and the vibes were perfect for an LGS. James and Eli were amazing help in selecting some products and treated me like I go there every week even on the first time I was there. 10/10 would go again, probably going again later today.
I wasn't going to share this, but I don't want this to happen to anyone else and I think it should be known when it comes to sharp gaming. Sharp gaming has many issues, in my opinion. #1 The staff members get first take on anything coming into the store. I've seen and heard employees discussing taking cards and making deals, also I have seen them take cards that just got sold to the store, and put them back for themselves- therefore removing any possibility for a customer to have access to that card. On Multiple occasions I would ask to see a card THAT WAS IN THE CASE and some staff member would go pull it, hide the card, and act like the card was not for sell and was never in the case. Completely shady business. #2. Sharp gaming has a major issue when it comes to back door deals, or as their staff like to call them " their private dealers." Multiple staff members have these people that they will deal with, and I have seen and heard them standing in the store making deals right there in front of customers. This, in my opinion is very bad business. We as customers don't want to walk into a place and hear this going on in front of us. We also would like access to sought after cards. #3. If you're not a regular at this shop, The staff will completely ignore you while they discuss their favorite type of dinosaur and how their cosplay outfits don't fit them etc. They are just very inattentive to people clearly looking in the cases, waiting for help to look at a card. So, if you're not a private dealer or a regular (meaning, one that spends lots of $$$$) good luck having anyone here help you.
