
Last Friday (9/12/25) around 10:15pm, I visited the shop on the recommendation of friends to buy some MTG singles, as I’m new to the hobby and working on my first Commander deck. My friends had stopped by earlier in the day and told me they’d had a great experience, so I was excited to check it out. When we arrived, we browsed the huge selection of board games and other items, and I was genuinely impressed by the variety the store carries. The counter was busy at first, and since there was also a draft event going on, I didn’t mind waiting my turn. However, once the customers in front of me had been helped, I was left standing at the counter with no acknowledgment from the staff. By then it was about 10:40pm, and I ended up waiting roughly 20 minutes. During that time, three staff members passed by and did various tasks, but none addressed me or even checked in. My friends came up a couple of times to see if I had been helped, and each time I had to tell them no. Eventually, feeling pretty defeated, I decided to leave around 11pm — still without a word or acknowledgment from anyone behind the counter. For a store that came so highly recommended, the lack of basic customer service was surprising and frustrating. I had come ready to spend money and support a local business, but instead left empty-handed. I’m giving two stars because the selection is genuinely impressive, but based on this experience, I’m not sure I’d return.

Great selection of all sorts of games. Board games and extension packs that I never knew existed, all the gear for Warhammer, cards (packs and singles) for Pokemon, MTG, Lorcana, etc. Everyone is nice and helpful.

Earlier today, I visited this store to learn more about MTG, and the morning crew was very nice and informative. I even recommended the place to a friend, and we decided to stop by again later that evening. Unfortunately, the experience was the complete opposite. We stood right in front of the workers by the glass display, but they never acknowledged us or offered help. One was fiddling with a drill, another seemed to be checking inventory—but neither was busy with customers. It felt like we were being ignored. This was disappointing, especially since our first visit exceeded expectations. We came back ready to support a small business and make a purchase, but the lack of basic customer service stopped us. I’m giving this place three stars because I truly hope this attitude can be fixed, and I don’t want to stop supporting a local store over one bad experience. Still, consistency matters.
