A bit late on this review as this transaction occurred in 2021 - uh, better late than never I guess. I had a very positive experience with Jason. My father passed away and I needed to sell off his baseball card sets quickly (mostly 80's, 90's complete sets of Topps, Donruss, and Fleer). One of my challenges was that I'm from out of town and would be flying in for only a few days to take care of my father's affairs, his card collection being just one of many items that needed attention. I found Jason via Google, reached out to him and coordinated the effort well in advance of my trip - note: he responded promptly and there were communication issues at all. I gave him a rough idea of what I thought would be in the collection, and we agreed on a date/time that he'd come out and meet me at the house (note: it was also very kind that he came to me as I was on a time crunch to get a number of things done in just the few days I'd be in town). When I arrived in town, I tried to organize and inventory the collection as best I could prior to Jason arriving, but it was still a bit haphazard. Jason arrived exactly on time. He spent a bit of time looking through the collection and offered me a fair price for the entire lot. I had a rough idea of what I thought the collection 'might' be worth - which was just slightly higher than what Jason offered. However, Jason took the time to explain why he offered what he did. After this discussion and thorough explanation, I was happy to accept the cash offer on the spot. The entire transaction was seamless. This was an extremely hectic time for me trying to wrap up all of my father's affairs while I was in town. I was concerned that selling off the card collection was going to be challenging and, more importantly, time consuming, but I was lucky to connect with Jason. He made this effort easy for me so that I could focus on other things that needed my attention. Certainly give Jason a call if you find yourself in a situation where you need to sell some cards. If you aren't sure what you have, he'll help you figure it out and offer you a fair price.
Jason does exist. I sold some of my double early vintage and more modern stuff that I have zero interest in collecting. Made a little extra cash and kept my personal prized collection intact. Nice guy, flexible and will negotiate IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE as he will definitely know what you have. Too many people think they have good stuff and it is nothing more than hamster bedding. Keep in mind, card value is based on a combination of age, set, scarcity, player, demand, CONDITION, CONDITION CONDITION, etc. This guy seems to know the market. If he won't agree to your price, it means he can't make enough profit to warrant your price. If you sell too low, that is on you. Deals require knowledge, negotiation and finally, agreement. It is his job to get the best price he can and your job to get a price that satisfies you. My experience selling to him was very professional and pleasant. Now, it is my opinion that modern cards are going to lose value. Too many are produced of each player and numbered cards are manufactured rarity, not natural scarcity. Collect pre 1980 if you want your cards to hold their value and/or increase. The rest is gambling your money.
