I’ve seen this shop and its owners in action before they ever opened here, so nothing about my experience came as a surprise. Back in Jasper, they were clearing out stock from our local store even though they already had their own distribution by sending their daughter to grab as much as possible under the guise of “it’s for the kids.” Once people connected the dots that it was going straight into their own inventory, the trust was gone. When I stopped by their shop, I was hoping maybe the actual store would show a different side. Instead, it felt like exactly what we had already seen: a bare minimum setup designed to profit off the current hype with no real connection to the community. In Jasper, we let them cut in line thinking we were doing a good deed for a family, only to watch a kid trained to sweep every product in sight while the parents smiled and misled people about why they were there. That is not just bad etiquette, it is the opposite of the integrity you would want from anyone in this hobby, especially someone trying to run a grading company. And by the way, Hayden is one of the people who you are saying is “harassing” you? But he was there that day, and there were at least five others you personally interacted with. So pretending you do not know us now is just laughable.
Cheaper prices which is great! Variety of booster packs and individual cards. An all around great place to get trading cards and the owner is very knowledgeable and will help you get what you are wanting.
I wanted to give this card shop a fair shot, especially after a frustrating experience with the owners in Jasper—where they were caught clearing out product from our local store despite already having distribution. I hoped the shop itself might be redeeming, but unfortunately, it’s a bare-bones operation clearly built to exploit the current market hype. What’s most disappointing is how calculated the whole thing feels. They use their daughter to grab cartloads of product, claiming it’s “for the kids,” when in reality, it’s all being funneled back into their own store. Once it came out that they were behind this shop, it became obvious we’d been lied to. It’s one thing to hustle, but another to manipulate and take advantage of smaller communities. In Jasper, we have a tight-knit community. We believed we were helping out a family—especially the daughter—by letting them cut in line. But watching a kid trained to grab everything in sight like it’s a Black Friday sale, all while her parents smile and lie about their intentions, was a harsh wake-up call. That kind of behavior doesn’t reflect community, and it definitely doesn’t reflect the integrity you’d expect from anyone trying to start a grading company. Trust matters in this hobby. And actions like these are the reason so many collectors are growing tired of shops that are only in it for the flip. Also they like to delete bad reviews and block you on facebook :p They can take criticism well!
The owner was really professional and kind! Had a long conversation all things Pokémon! Prices were really fair! In house grading for really good cost! 10/10 recommend coming here to just hang out! As a Pokémon collector this place really felt right at home!
