Taylorsville Nickelcade
We took our family to the Nicklecade. Each of our children my husband I bought cards lock and loaded for a friendly family competition! We had a blast!! The games are far cheaper and very reasonable priced. Service was good.

It was a decent time taking the kids to the Arcade for a couple hours. The attendant was super nice to my son. The only reason for the 4 Star is that some of the games didn’t work. Still a mostly affordable afternoon.

Great arcade! Entry is $3, most games cost $0.55-0.65, though they'll give bonus plays if you put at least $20 on your game card. They switched from nickels and tickets to swipe cards. So, not quite a NICKELcade anymore, but the games are still relatively cheap to play
This is mainly for little kids. It’s heavy on ticket games, from the traditional (skee-ball) to carnival staples (down the clown) to gambling addiction (coin pusher) to the truly bizarre (beer pong without the beer—you haven’t seen anything until you’ve watched a six-year-old play beer pong). There are a few claw machines, too. We were able to drag out a few rolls of 250 tickets. For older players, it’s got plenty of racing games and shoot ’em ups. But my favorite was the Street Fighter cabinet. It was one of those multi-game cabs that has a handful of Capcom and SNK games to choose from. I don’t know if I would return. While the prices were very reasonable, the atmosphere is too child friendly for teens and adults. It’s hard to find a creepy old arcade like the ones we grew up on, unless you go to an arcade bar.
