I’m leaving this review because I don’t mean to be petty but I had a bad experience that keeps this from being a 5 star review. I’ve been going here for years now, and have always loved the place. The owners are great, the staff is usually great, the product selection and prices are all great too. That being said, at 5pm on Thursday, October 2nd, I had a problem. I walked in looking to purchase some cards. The guy at the front desk, I didn’t catch his name, was sitting casually talking to what seemed to be a coworker who was also a customer at the time. They were making idle chitchat about games to play and shifts to work. As I approached the desk, I was not acknowledged for several minutes as their conversation continued. Eventually, I interrupted and said “Excuse me, I’d like to buy some cards.” The worker had the audacity to look toward his conversation partner and ROLL HIS EYES.as if I WAS THE PROBLEM for interrupting their conversation. I work two jobs, both service customers and do you know how much trouble I’d be in if I was caught treating a customer like that? I was hesitant to even buy product from the guy after that and it left a real sour taste in my mouth cause I don’t want to deal with him again. All the other staff is super friendly and sociable, I know them by name etc. But this guy, who was working at 5pm on Thursday, October 2nd, just rubbed me entirely the wrong way.
Food, mead, tabletop gaming. I've been coming here for almost a year now and every time there is always events going on, people to hang out with and hobbies to engage with. The staff is very friendly and some join in the events to have fun and bond. The scarred bard is the eatery inside the store and it serves phenomenal food along with its very upbeat and very quirky staff (Natalie in particular is very enthusiastic and energetic). I recommend everyone even if you dont hobby to come visit and have a good time

Absolutely my favorite tabletop gaming store. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the community is well maintained and welcoming to new players to all sorts of games. It also provides a great place to play games and eat while you play. Reasonable prices too!
