Hidden gem. Huge selection of unique, new and retro items. Looked to be fair pricing.
I took my phone to this business to get it repaired. While they did fix it initially, the repair was faulty. They told me they had ordered the necessary part and would resolve the issue. However, when I returned a few weeks later, the screen had developed a crack that was not my fault—it was clearly an issue with the screen they had installed. As a minor, I feel I was taken advantage of and not treated fairly. I do not recommend this store to anyone looking for a reliable screen repair.
If you’re looking to get your phone repaired, I would 100% NOT recommend going to The eStore Comic and Tech Shop in Prestonsburg for any reason whatsoever. I would give this “business” zero stars if I could. My husband went on Thursday for an iPhone screen repair. I messaged them prior and they said that the repair comes with a 60 day warranty and costs $130 +tax. They replaced the screen, and even added a screen protector (this is important!) and then about two hours after the repair the screen started glitching and wasn’t functioning as it should. He couldn’t even use the phone. Less than 24 hours later, he took it back to use the warranty and fix it. Once an hour passed, he went to get his phone and the guy who “repaired” it brought it out and accused him of dropping and re-breaking the screen. My husband’s phone screen was in perfect condition when he dropped it off. The guy had obviously taken something sharp and lifted the screen protector to break it so he could get more money instead of honoring the warranty. If you look at their other Google reviews, you can see that re-breaking their screen repairs and accusing the customers of doing it, is a VERY common scam tactic that they use to void their “warranty.” The fact that this happened to more than one person proves that it wasn’t an accident or coincidence. If you read this and still decide to use them for your phone repairs for some reason, I would highly encourage you to take photos of your phone before you take it in, and make sure that there is a time stamp in the photo. The photo added shows that the phones actual screen was exposed under the screen protector. If it had fallen and had the same point of impact as the photo, it would’ve cracked the exposed screen too. This crack was done intentionally.
