Came in yesterday to look at some of the new products for MTG and Brandon, Liv, and Michael were incredibly helpful and patient with me. Brandon took time to step aside and help me understand all of my questions and concerns. It is nice to be able to walk into a store and have the employees know and be able to explain new mechanics and synergies on a whim. Super helpful!

Mathew and the gentleman whose name I can hardly pronounce, and definitely not spell, were incredibly helpful. I took a huge amount of their time away to explain everything to me as a new interested party for 40k. Their knowledge and friendlyness had me happily drop a car down-payment on everything I need to get into the hobby because I had so much fun with them. They showed me the ropes during a Learn to Play event, which I now intend on joining for other tcg/ttg 's sheerly because of the welcoming attitude. I've been participating with game shops in several states over the decades and this has been my most positively impactful so far is The Gathering Place. Looking forward to playing some games
Jumpy and Liv were professional and fun employees. They were kind, knowledgeable , and just plain awesome. The store atmosphere was warm and welcoming and had regulars that immediately made me feel at home. I can’t believe I’ve been in Abilene for a year and am just finding out about this place. I highly recommend stopping by if you have any interest in tabletop games, cards, figurines, or simply want to meet new people!
