I tried to resolve this with the Hobby Shop but they insisted on not working with us. My husban bought a charger and battery for a remote car. The battery would not charge. Was it an issue with the charger or battery? We didn't know. Took both back to the Hobby Shop. The brother of the owner who claims he doesn't work there but is the only one ever there when we go in, said they would contact the manufacturer. 2 months go by. We keep checking in with them because they have our money and our merchandise. Hobby Shop claims the manufacturer treats them horribly and won't respond. We asked for our merchandise back. We contacted the manufacturer and had new products in 2 days. That is when we noticed the differences in the products we purchased from them and what the manufacturer sent. The battery box had been opened (see picture). The charger had differences too, as if what we bought were knock offs/black market type items. I went to the store to show them the differences and the brother who doesn't work there but was the only one there said there was nothing he could do bc he can't call his brother and they only give store credit. They sold me fraudulent items but want to give me store credit?! AND please note they also charged us a different price then the sticker on the box (see picture) To rectify the situation I simply asked for the money of the battery back. They refused. I did file a police report, the officers agreed something is off here but the detectives need more people to report if they were sold fraudulent items before they can make a solid case. One of the best stores I’ve ever been in. When I first came to this hobby shop i immediately fell in love with the hobby. I’m completely new to all this so I get very lost at moments. No problem with their wonderful staff. I’m not sure the guys name with longer hair and glasses but he’s fantastic. He walks me through everything, making sure I have everything I need. Even when I don’t get it and having problems he’ll just build it in front of me. I bought a motor, didn’t know what I was doing and snapped the shaft that holds the pinion. I tried for days to call horizon but no answer. So he called for me. I couldn’t thank these guys enough for the awesome service.If your interested in the hobby then don’t hesitate to go in there and pick one up.
These guys are real. Very honest and if you come in with questions, bring in your truck. Great store for the serious rc hobbyist who can handle themselves.
