The Lotus Lookout

In the beginning my experience with my husband and our friend was great, we joked around with staff for like 2 hours; looked around at all their Pokemon stock. Shared some good laughs, but towards the end at check out the man at the counter told us that the charizard tcg box that we were looking at was being sold for $90. Both my husband and my friend were both pointing at this charizard premium box with a big silver charizard on it. During the entire time we were speaking about it. He didn’t go up and grab it and make sure we were talking about the same thing (even though they were both standing right beside it and pointing at it.) nothing. Until right after he completed the purchase he said alright the red box back there. (In summary not the exact words.) clearly my friend was really upset immediately after realizing what had happened. He tried to express that we were actively showing the one we were wanting and the guy straight up changed his whole energy and in summary said “we don’t do refunds”. I will not be coming back, nor will my friend. This left a very bad taste in our mouth. (Bare in mind this was our first time going to this shop, before the thoughts of “well you should have grabbed it and brought it to him” he could clearly see us and we were actively pretty much drooling over it and getting excited over it. We literally pointed at the thing haha.. and we didn’t want to just grab everything we saw. Again we are new to all of this and didn’t want to risk ever making anyone upset for touching something we shouldn’t. Especially me and my friend who have very bad social anxiety) not to even mention he literally said the retail price of the item we were pointing at and mentioned how rare it was 🤣 he couldn’t be more blatant now that we look back on the situation. Instead he decided to charge us $90 for a $50 box. The box is also really messed up it’s ripped on the corners and torn. That is sold everywhere still and is by far NOT RARE. He played us like a fiddle. Saw we were newly back into the fandom. Abused it. I won’t say don’t come here BUT, I will say make sure you have everything in your hand and verify it’s what you want.
