Completed my 3rd haul today since having found the store. Always a great place to go. The staff is always helpful and cut some deals on purchases. Even had a chance to watch them respectfully deal with a VERY difficult customer trying to sell toys who ultimately threw a tantrum. Will be back for sure!!
Great buisness. I will say the prices are a bit extreme for my liking, but they are willing to negotiate prices for trains. Maybe it's cause I'm young and interested in model trains but either way it was nice. I got a $225 diesel and they sold it to me for $195. It was in incredible shape. Fresh out of the box it would have been around $500 - $600. Also got a few bucks off of a well priced Polar Express set. The prices are a bit high and the place is a bit disorganized but it wasn't a big deal.
My husband bought a $70 figure from this place that they claimed was in “good condition.” Not even an hour after we opened it, the figure broke. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. We’ve had multiple experiences where we’ve bought something from them, and it ends up breaking shortly after. It honestly feels like they’re just taking our money and giving us broken or low-quality items. What makes it worse is that in the past, they’ve let us return defective items—so we assumed that was part of their policy. But now they’re suddenly claiming that returns were never allowed. It feels shady and inconsistent. For the amount of money we’ve spent here, the quality and customer service are beyond disappointing. We won’t be coming back, and I’d strongly recommend others be very cautious before buying anything here. Honestly, there are better toy stores in the area and the owner Perry is a terrible person to deal with and treats the younger customers horribly. The employee Danny suggested that we may have broken it and claims the quality of the toy was tested, but the quality of the toy proves otherwise.
