Thunder Kitty games is a great place to get your board gaming on. Lots of different card games and toys. There are plenty of tables to play with your friends. Only open a few days a week, but it's worth the wait.
I was saddened to learn that my previous go-to shop had closed down due to ongoing break-ins, as it had been a convenient source for my trading card games (TCG). The alternative options available to me were quite far away, which added to my disappointment. However, I discovered Thunder Kitty Games, and it quickly became my new favorite destination. As someone who experiences social anxiety, I found the atmosphere at Thunder Kitty Games to be incredibly welcoming. From my very first visit, I felt comfortable and not at all intimidated. The owner is exceptionally kind and fosters a friendly environment that only improves as you get to know him. The shop itself has a charming, cozy ambiance that truly feels like a home away from home. Whenever I have questions or need assistance, the owner is always eager to help, demonstrating a genuine commitment to customer service. I wholeheartedly recommend Thunder Kitty Games to anyone with an interest in anime and trading card games.
Arguably my favorite LGS in Portland, even though I try not to have favorites. I love the owner and the vibes of the shop, and I have a good time and am taken care of anytime I go. 10/10 would recommend!
