Placed an order in store for a card that was lower than typical TCGPlayer cost. After I placed the order they realized that card was low and told me that they would need to cancel the order and reprice it. Crazy that you can list a card then cancel an order because it was now lower than market. The nice lady was very nice.
most Pokémon products were out of stock which is what I went in for, however there were a lot of singles that were priced extremely well. Ended up getting several of those and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely go back
TL;DR (4/5): Would recommend & would return ------------------ Feels a touch like three-online-retailers-in-a-trenchcoat, but nonetheless provides plenty of reasons to patronize. Pros: Nice central event space, huge selection of singles, better-than-standard selection of sealed product, fair pricing on sealed product, helpful staff. Cons: Price of singles is not what you'd expect for in person purchasing, you can't actually look through/select singles, some minor quality issues. ------------------------THE WAY TOO MANY DETAILS------------------------ Selection (5/5): For a brick-and-mortar selling singles, the selection was phenomenal. The selection of sealed product was better than average, but nothing unusual/surprising. The selection of miscellany (cases, sleaves, play mats, dice, etc.) was comprehensive enough, but, again, nothing particularly special/unique. Quality (4/5+): I ordered 63 singles (in person). You put in a digital purchase order, in store, then they fetch them. I ordered a mix of commons, uncommons, holo, & reverse holo in LP & NM conditions. I received 59 of them as described (or better), 2 of them were listed as NM but had notable defects (edge bending), & 2 were the correct card but from a different set (they had cost parity, so it wasn't like I was getting ripped off, but if I ordered this online I'd be pretty bummed). I didn't go through these cards in store, but I didn't get the sense there would be any issues swapping these out/correcting the order, so this is more to reflect what you might expect buying online. Service (4/5): Generally friendly. Generally helpful. Based on my trip there, I'd say the store is setup primarily for events/tournaments, selling sealed product, and packaging/shipping online orders of singles. The service reflects this. To slightly complicate, the staff was definitely preoccupied with the YCS tourny (at least I think that's what it was?), which, while it didn't bug me at all, makes it hard to say how attentive they'd be on any given day. Value Sealed Product (5/5): They were running a sale on sealed product for an anniversary. The prices were ordinary MSRP-ish prices & with the sale were on the cheaper side. Value Singles (2/5): Commons and uncommon are *super* expensive. They are basically $1 across the board. They have free shipping on orders over $5, so if you were buying these online and looking for 5 cards, the cost+shipping wouldn't be bad. If you're looking to buy bulk, or in person, I'd recommend going elsewhere. Given the volume of orders they have on TCGPlayer, I get the sense they don't want to overly cater to in-person singles buyers.
