We dropped $300 on cards for them to complain about our children. Will never go back.
nice store. didnt have any of the vintage pokemon i was looking for- just singles in cases and a lot of bulk but staff was nice and the overall space seemed clean and well kept
Owner(s) treated me with absolute disrespect and encouraged their employee to straight up bully me. They offered me about $30 on 2000 or so staples averaging about 50¢-$1 (with other cards up to a few dollars a piece). I gave a counteroffer on the staples of 25¢ per card which they refused, no counter from what I remember. I would have been fine at 10¢ a card. They offered less than 50% on the cards they set aside. I politely declined the offer. The interaction ended with the shop owner storming off and yelling “shop closes in 15”. I then asked one of their employees for a box to hold my loose cards they dragged me in front of two other customers talking about how I wasted their time, then banned me from the shop. Didn’t even offer to sell me one. I assume he saw his boss shouting at me and took that as a sign to flex some power. No, I was not disrespectful. Unless you count “I think we’re too far apart to make this happen” as treating someone rudely. I did get “disrespectful” when the employee said, no we don’t have any boxes. We don’t have any for YOU. I said “Really?” followed by “Is this how you treat your customers?”. Funny that the two customers gave no input. They were too afraid to say anything. That tells me the culture may be a bit toxic in that shop. To be treated the way I was, especially in public… Unacceptable. I could understand if I was rude or rowdy or anything other than calm and respectful. Very disappointed that they treat servicemembers and veterans, let alone ANYONE this way. Please do better. No one should be treated the way I was.
